About Julia Fairley

“Environment is the invisible hand that shapes human behaviour.” – James Clear, Atomic Habits.

I take a unique approach and explore how architecture and design affect us culturally, socially and physiologically and how we can fashion our surroundings to enrich our lifestyles. I became fascinated with this idea while studying Interior Architecture, before graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New South Wales in Australia and working in Sydney as a journalist.

For more than a decade, I have written for business-to-business, consumer and custom publications in print and online media. I am committed to helping editors, brands and content agencies connect with readers by bridging the void between architecture, design, psychology and lifestyle writing.

While I am a specialised architecture and design writer, I am passionate about penning articles that offer audiences new insights and fresh perspectives, regardless of the subject. My clients can always count on stories that have just the right balance of humour and intelligence, which get readers thinking, audiences sharing and people talking.

My work has been translated into French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish and published in Australia and New Zealand, North America, Asia, Scandinavia, throughout Europe and beyond. My clients can always rely on receiving articles that are on-topic, on-brand and on-time. And according to the glowing testimonials from my happy clients, I am even fun to work with.
